Pergamon Frieze (Aphrodite’s Foot) 2024 is shortlisted for Woolwich Contemporary Print Fair. Since I started focusing on printmaking on clay few years ago, I wanted to show along other printers. I got distanced from making through criticality and conceptual focus of the educational programme I was in as a BA student, but when I first visited Goldsmiths, I choose the college because of the beautiful art printmaking studios in Richard Hoggart Building. I was enchanted by the wonderful machines, aura of mystery, smell of oils and abundant light bursting through the huge windows of that workshop. And of course, presence of John, the technician who ran the space, his passion for printmaking and image was captivating. It was the first workshop I fell in love with.
